We are hiring a QA/QC Engineer, for our Branch TROUVAY & CAUVIN Trading and Services LLC based in Doha – Qatar, ideally with Qatar Transferable Visa, and ready to start at the earliest.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the QHSE Regional Manager in ensuring the overall implementation of the QHSE Management System of TROUVAY & CAUVIN Group covering internal & external audits, documentation, monitoring, analysis, and system improvements.

You will support the Yard Manager and Operations Manager on all quality control including Health, Safety and Environment matters and activities : liaison with Management, Staff, Clients, Suppliers and Authorities where necessary to ensure quality compliance with projects requirements and standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Inspections of incoming and outgoing materials, against international standards and taking necessary action in the event of a non-conformance,
  • Review of material certificates, MTC documentation, instrument calibration, generation of inspection and test plans, and other associated QC functions,
  • Collaborating with the Yard Manager in implementing necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality control issues across all departments,
  • Supporting the Sales team in preparing quotations and commercial offers in line with Clients’ quality requirements and TROUVAY & CAUVIN’s terms of sales,
  • Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations, and keeping records and organization of Quality Control Files,
  • Monitoring the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment practices and suggests safety initiatives as appropriate to each area in co-ordination with Yard Manager,
  • Implementing and monitoring that safety rules are being followed by the employees, contractual workers, guest and sub-contractors operating in the Company’s premises. Recording and reporting accidents, carrying out incident investigation, generating reports and mitigation plans and propose new measures to avoid a repeat of the incident or accident,
  • Ensuring that the QHSE Management System is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 450001 and ISO 14001 standards,
  • Updating the QHSE Manual and procedures. Conducting QHSE induction training to newcomers
  • Reviewing “Supplier Documentation Requirements Lists” (SDRL’s) and liaise with suppliers to ensure all document requirements are understood

 Knowledge and skill requirements: 

  • The candidate should justify of a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a similar experience with confirmed technical knowledge in material inspection (piping equipment such as pipes, flanges, fittings … and industrial valves),
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English,
  • Full understanding of MTC basics is required.
  • Analysis capacity and being able to write and answer NCR on the concerned products.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements,
  • Knowledge with Material specifications (ASME, API, BS, NACE etc),
  • Tasks require management skills, drive to succeed and excellent organizational skills,
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications - knowledge of Microsoft Office.
