We are currently looking for a Regional Commercial Manager to be based in our Bangkok office (Thailand) under permanent and full time employment.

Reporting to the Director of the entity, he /she will be responsible for delivering the sales budget and developing clients & suppliers relationships throughout the Asia Pacific region. He / She will be in charge of promoting and selling the complete range of products of the company, mainly Structural Steel, Process Piping and Valves and will ensure sustainable business growth in line with the Group’s strategy, objectives and policies.

He / She will lead and manage the sales team.  

He / She will perform his/her duties being based in Bangkok - Thailand, but will have to travel frequently within and outside Thailand as required to perform his/her role and business development duties efficiently.

His/Her key responsibilities will include :

Financial Duties :

  • Elaboration of the yearly sales & stock budget in liaison with the Management,
  • Monitoring your territories’ business performance, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded,
  • Reporting of the territories’ sales activities and performance to the Management.

Commercial Duties :

  • Elaboration and successful implementation of the business strategy,
  • Business development and promotion of the Group’s products and services,
  • Achievement of the sales budget,
  • Ensuring that all sales tasks such as enquiry receipt, review, material sourcing, offer preparation, submissions, negotiation, dispute resolution, invoicing and payment receivables are all performed in a timely and professional manner and in the best interest of the Company,
  • Driving the relations with our group’s business partners in the Asia Pacific region,
  • Reviewing tender documents and managing the execution of major contracts in liaison with the Management and other departments,
  • Overseeing of the main projects orders negotiation and execution in liaison with the different parties involved, ensuring agreed contractual terms and conditions are met

Operational Duties:

  • In liaison with the other Managers / Supervisors, and during the absence of the Director, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Bangkok office, ensuring it operates as per expectations.

Management / Human Resources:

  • Leading & managing the Company’s sales teams ensuring a high level of motivation, and developing a strong sense of belonging and group spirit with the various departments,
  • Sales staff recruitment, training and skills development.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :

The ideal candidate should:

  • Justify of at least 5 years of experience in a sales management position, in a similar field, with demonstrated sales and business development achievements,
  • Have a deep understanding of our products and their applications in energy industries.
  • Have a good understanding of projects cycle from tendering to execution phase and strong command of contractual terms and conditions
  • Have strong negotiation and analytical skills, strategic thinking, solid management skills and leadership abilities, drive to succeed and exceed targets, and excellent organizational skills,
  • Knowledge of the main players of the Oil & Gas industry in the APAC region (IOCs / NOCs / EPC / Contractors / Fabrication Yards…) would be a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field. Degree in business, management, or related field is preferred.
  • The position requires attention to details, excellent verbal and written communication skills, discretion with confidential information and to be trustworthy.

For our Doha Branch (17 employees), we are recruiting a General Manager, ready to start at the earliest.

The General Manager – Qatar will perform his duties in Doha but may have to travel within and outside Qatar, as required.

Reporting to the Director of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait territories of the Group, you will oversee all aspects of the Company such as Operations, Commercial, Financial, QHSE, HR, and Compliance, in liaison with the Group Head of Departments and in compliance with the Group’s strategy and policies and local regulatory requirements.

In particular, you will be responsible for :

Financial & Commercial :

  • Participating in elaborating the yearly sales budget and the Business strategy,
  • Promoting and selling the complete range of the Company’s products and services used in both Oil & Gas and Building, Water & Infrastructures industries in the assigned territory,
  • Ensuring sustainable business growth in line with the targets fixed,
  • Developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong business ties with Key Clients, Strategic Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and end-users, ensuring business growth and profitability,
  • Managing major contracts in liaison and overseeing technical and commercial negotiation to ensure orders are secured and margins are maximized,
  • Overseeing business development and activities of the Sales team to generate constantly business opportunities and to maximize turn over and profitability of the Company,
  • Reporting on the Company’s activities and performance, commercial activities, business potential and opportunities, developments and actions taken.

Operational & QHSE :

  • Controlling and managing the day to day operations of the Company and coordinating activities and works priorities with the staff,
  • Overseeing projects execution and orders delivery, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements and agreed terms and conditions from clients are met,
  • Implementing of the overall QHSE management system in Qatar, including approval of QHSE Manual and Procedures ; in liaison with the Group’s Regional QHSE Manager.

Human Resources :

  • Leading & managing the Company’s teams and monitoring their performance, by developing a good unit and group spirit within the various departments,
  • Recruiting staff, training them and developing their skills.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • The candidate should justify of a similar experience with confirmed sales & technical knowledge in the Oil & Gas field (piping equipment such as pipes, flanges, fittings, industrial valves…),
  • Solid Management background with strategic thinking, and knowledge of overall running of a business unit,
  • Excellence in sales and business development, strong negotiation skills,
  • Thorough team management and leadership skills,
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic speaking is a plus
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP system,
  • Drive to succeed and exceed targets,
